Job Purpose and Summary

This role is working in Canon Direct Sales - selling commercial printer equipment to the Graphic Art arena, Corporate and Public sector organisations. Experience in this area would be a distinct advantage.

The key elements of the role is to -

Achieve all agreed company budgets/targets, and excellent customer satisfaction, through the direction and leadership of the sales team.

Align the team’s behaviours and activities with the company’s objectives and to control costs.

Coach and develop team members to achieve their maximum potential

 Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Deliver budgets and targets as defined
  • Leadership and management of a team
  • Designing the pre-tender strategies and actions to win targeted accounts
  • Ensuring that all activities within the accounts are captured and recorded with the tools provided
  • To direct the activities required to meet SLA’s or stated contractual objectives of customers
  • Work with the Tender team to maximise win rate ratios for targeted accounts
  • To proactively manage performance of each team member through coaching , mentoring and structured performance management processes.
  • Active Development of team members through coaching, mentoring, training and other defined processes such as personal development plan’s etc
  • To lead and coordinate sales effort in selected customer engagements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have experience of leading a quota bearing field based sales team.
  • Must have a full current driving licence.
  • Ideally with a business degree or leadership training
  • Experience in sales management withing the document management/software solutions environment, a distinct advantage

Salary - £55,000 - £60,000 + £26K Bonus + company car/car allowance
